3-Day Seminar/Workshop on Proposal and Thesis Writing Organized for MBS Students of 2070 “B” Batch

TU-PNC, 04 March 2018 – The Faculty of Management under Prithvi Narayan Campus organized the “3-Day Seminar/Workshop on Proposal and Thesis Writing” program on 1-3 March 2018. The seminar/workshop was conducted for the students of MBS program who opted for thesis writing.

The seminar/workshop program was attended by Dept Head of Management Research Indra Prasad Sharma as chairperson and Campus Chief Prof. Dr. Chandra Bahadur Thapa as chief guest. The program was hosted by Secretary of the program organizing committee.

Prof. Dr. Lekha Nath Bhattarai, Prof. Dr. Vikas KC, Indra Prasad Sharma, Devi Lal Sharma, Dhaneshwor Rakhal, Jas Bahadur Gurung and Hari Prasad Pathak presented their papers on topics related to proposal and thesis writing.

On the first day, Hari Prasad Pathak spoke on topic selection for research, Prof. Dr. Bhattarai on introduction, problems, objectives and review of literature, Prof. Dr. KC on research design and sampling and Indra Prasad Sharam on the overall process of proposal writing.

On the second day, Prof. Dr. KC presented his paper on data collection in research, and data processing, presentation and analysis, Devi Lal Sharma on overall framework of research proposal, and documentation and presentation skill, Dept Head Sharma on the overall process of data collection, presentation and analysis.

On the third day, the resource persons gave their presentations on the concluding part of the research. For instance, Hari Prasad Pathak spoke on major findings, summary and conclusions, and Jas Bahadur Gurung on guidelines for thesis report writing. The presentations were followed by group discussion of the participants.

A total of 88 students of MBS 2070 “B” batch participated in the seminar/workshop.
