New Admission Open for B.Sc. CSIT Program for the Academic Year 2073

TU-PNC, 26 Sept 2016 – The Institute of Science & Technology in Prithvi Narayan Campus has announced its new admission open for the first batch of B.Sc. CSIT Program for the academic year 2073.

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Information Technology (B.Sc. CSIT) is a 4-year semester program of Tribhuvan University. The program aims to fulfill the need of today’s job market in the field of IT profession and combines the study of software and hardware, and information and communication technologies. It is a 126 credit hours course spreading over 8 semesters.

According to the Assistant Campus Chief Nanda Lal Adhikari, prospective students can study IT program at most affordable cost as compared to other colleges offering IT programs for Bachelor’s degree. “We have introduced B.Sc. CSIT, a computer science and IT related program first time at Prithvi Narayan Campus that aims to meet the demand of the 21st century,” he further said.  

It is learnt that the prospective students applying for B.Sc.CSIT program should have successfully completed a 12 years of education in science stream or equivalent from any university, board or institution recognized by TU, with at least 2nd division or higher and successfully passed the entrance examination conducted by TU securing at least 35% marks. It is also leant that students having their +2 or equivalent with biology and mathematics are also eligible to apply for the program.

The entrance test for eligibility of study will take place on 12 Ashwin 2073, starting 11 am through 1 pm, the admission office at the Institute of Science & Technology informed.
